Although I'm not Greek, these 'Rembetika' tracks ceertainly convey the feeling of this aptly titled album. The precise meanning of the word seems to be a little confused; suffice to say it was the Greek underground music of the day & later revived in the 60's & onwards. I like to think of it as Greek blues. Get out your Ouzo bottle, kick back & let the music transport you to days gone by in another world.
